Pre-Order: Sonata Arctica - Live in Latin America [CD]

Three decades of SONATA ARCTICA. Classic anthems and recent favorites, captured live across Latin America.

With three decades of music and touring behind them, SONATA ARCTICA have earned their place among Finland’s best-known melodic metal bands. Emerging from Kemi in the late 1990s, they reached listeners worldwide with their 1999 debut Ecliptica, followed by landmark releases including Silence, Winterheart’s Guild and Reckoning Night. Their combination of racing guitars and keyboards, instantly recognisable melodies and Tony Kakko’s expressive vocals has built a devoted international fanbase, with songs such as ‘FullMoon’, ‘Replica’ and ‘Tallulah’ becoming enduring favorites.

Across eleven studio albums, acoustic explorations and extensive touring through Europe, Japan and the Americas, SONATA ARCTICA have continued to broaden their sound while keeping melody and storytelling at its heart. Their official 30th anniversary celebrations in 2026 mark a career sustained by both musical curiosity and a lasting connection with their listeners.

SONATA ARCTICA bring together highlights from their 2025 Clear Cold Beyond World Tour on Live in Latin America. Recorded across Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil and Peru, the album captures the Finnish melodic metal band in a region that has long held a special place in their touring history.

The ten-track live selection pairs material from Clear Cold Beyond, including ‘First In Line’, ‘Dark Empath’ and ‘Angel Defiled’, with established favourites such as ‘FullMoon’, ‘Replica’, ‘Tallulah’ and ‘Wolf & Raven’. From fast power metal to heartfelt ballads, it offers a direct route into the melody, energy and emotion at the centre of SONATA ARCTICA’s music.

Each live song was recorded in a different city, making Live in Latin America a document of the tour across six countries. With ‘San Sebastian’, ‘I Have A Right’ and ‘Don’t Say A Word’ completing the tracklist, the release brings several eras of the band together in one live collection. For longtime followers, it revisits songs that have accompanied them for years; for new listeners, it offers an introduction to the range and appeal of SONATA ARCTICA’s music.

Two studio bonus tracks add further appeal for collectors: ‘Freedom Concept’, the band’s 30th anniversary single, appears on a physical release for the first time, while ‘The Elephant’, originally exclusive to the Japanese edition of The Ninth Hour (2016), receives its first release outside Japan.
A chance to revisit those nights, and to hear SONATA ARCTICA’s past and present meet on stage.
