This third volume dedicated to Joseph-Hector Fiocco completes the portrait of a major composer in 18th-century Brussels musical life. Heir to a cultural environment where Lully and Italian opera coexisted, Fiocco developed a personal language imbued with elegance, light, and sensuality. The works gathered here illustrate the importance of the central role of the voice in his writing, supported by refined and nuanced harmony. This program brings together six sacred motets for various forces, ranging from four to six voices, accompanied by an instrumental ensemble typical of their period.
