Blue with Red Vinyl. The Rose Hips is the LA-based indie rock duo of vocalist Dane Schumacher and guitaristMichael Gryffin, who both grew up in Woodside, California before making their way to LosAngeles in their early-20s to pursue music. After years navigating the LA scene, the two bondedover a shared love of classic rock, folk, and modern pop - a blend that now defines their sound:rich harmonies, timeless songwriting, and a modern alternative edge. Their debut singleSpacey, written during the very first session they ever had together, became a viral moment forthe band - a nostalgic, sun-warmed track that builds from sparse, sentimental guitar into breezy,surf-rock hooks. It was followed shortly after by The Sound, offering an early glimpse of asound that feels fully formed right out of the gate.
