Pre-Order: Golden Dawn - Power Plant [Limited Edition] (Mlps) [Remastered] [Reissue]

A lost gem of Texas psychedelic rock returns worldwide. Following the success of the 2025 Record Store Day edition in the UK and Europe, Power Plant by The Golden Dawn is back in a new Half-Speed Mastered vinyl edition, cut by Grammy-winning mastering engineer Lewis Hopkin, alongside a brand-new CD edition. Both editions feature a meticulous reproduction of the 1967 stereo mix, mastered from the original mixed master tapes to bring out the rich textures, dynamics and psychedelic intensity of the recording.Originally released on International Artists, Power Plant has become one of the most sought-after albums of the Texas psychedelic scene, with original pressings commanding prices of up to $2,000. This new edition gives a new generation of listeners the opportunity to experience this landmark album in exceptional quality.Label-mates of the 13th Floor Elevators, The Golden Dawn were at the heart of the International Artists scene, with Power Plant produced by Walt Andrus and Frank Davis - the same producers behind the Elevators' iconic Easter Everywhere, recorded shortly afterwards. Led by George Kinney, The Golden Dawn combined distorted guitars, dreamlike vocals and poetic lyrics into a sound that remains a defining document of Texas psychedelia.
